About Wigmore

The Wigmore family has farmed in Saskatchewan for over 100 years.  It started 4 generations ago in the early 1900's when George Wigmore came to Canada after the Boar War to settle in the Fenwood, SK area.  He started with a small piece of land and a strong work ethic.  His son William Wigmore eventually took over the farm and continued expanding by teaching his boys how to claim raw land, respect the soil, and trying new approaches in farming.  In 1974, his son Dr. Ernie Wigmore bought farm land in the Grand Coulee area of the Regina Plains. His brother Alvin Wigmore partnered with him and the two brothers moved the family farming operations from Fenwood to Grand Coulee. Today, Dr. Ernie is President & CEO of Wigmore Farms, and he works very closely with his son Jeff Wigmore who is President & CEO of Wigmore Crop Production Products (WCPP).

Wigmore focuses on three areas:

FARMING - We specialize in the crop production management of our own farm and work with other farmers and investors in the management of their farms.

CROP PRODUCTION PRODUCTS - As a fully integrated business we supply farm production products, including seed, fertilizer, inoculants, agriculture chemicals, and bin storage, plus agronomic and farm management services to growers throughout central and southern Saskatchewan.

PROCESSING - Our modern processing and packaging facility provides toll processing for Exporters that buy from Saskatchewan farmers and ship high quality food products around the world. The agriculture of Saskatchewan is key to feeding people throughout the world.
